About Us

Fjordland Lodge 1-508 is located in Brookings, SD, with many of our members hailing from the surrounding communities.  Fjordland Lodge has approximately 230 members. The Lodge has a strong program base that includes monthly meetings, an active dance group, celebrations of Norwegian culture, involvement in the Festival of Cultures at SDSU, community service including support of Habitat for Humanity.

Our meetings consist of a business meeting, a program, a lesson in speaking Norwegian, singing Norwegian songs, and feasting on Norwegian treats. We sponsor a Barnelopet in February, celebrate Syttende Mai in May and have a lutefisk supper in November.

We have scholarship programs and support Ski for Light.
